CyanLines takes stage at international property conference MIPIM

We brought CyanLines to the international stage as part of the Invest Manchester Partnership MIPIM programme. Two of our founders Tom Bloxham MBE CBE, chairman, Urban Splash and Manchester City Council leader Councillor Bev Craig OBE were joined by representatives from our partners – Jessica Bowles, strategy director, Bruntwood and Paul Morris, director and head of north studio, Civic as well as Stephen Young, chief executive, Salford City Council – on a panel moderated by our good friend Kunle Barker.

Titled ‘From Vision to Delivery: How Manchester’s ambitious CyanLines is taking shape’, the session provided insight as to why the panellists got involved in the project and outlined the benefits it will deliver over the next decade.

Cllr Bev Craig said, “CyanLines will make a difference. It’s about something bigger: climate resilience, tackling air pollution and creating a city of the future. There’s room for you to volunteer or be a backer. We want everyone to be part of it, to play a role, because that’s the only way we’re going to deliver 100 miles. Sign up and be part of it! ”

Jessica Bowles added, “CyanLines is about connectivity and shining a light on what is important to us. People can contribute to improving their area; getting their hands dirty, connecting socially and investing for the long term.”

Kunle Barker ended the session by saying, “CyanLines exists now! Get your kids to walk a line with you or meet your friends on a CyanLine.”
