Join us to walk CL1 – Meadows, Monuments and Music

At 10am on Sunday 28 June we’ll be meeting at Christ the Vine Church, Park View, Manchester M9 5TF (just a few minutes walk from the Queens Road Metrolink stop) for our fourth guided CyanLines walk exploring the nature rich River Irk.

Led by Jonathan Schofield we’ll meander down the River Irk’s north bank for a couple of miles, taking in ‘Lowry’s steps’ until we reach the newly regenerated St Catherines Wood.

Historic Angel Meadows and Angel Square’s perennial gardens will then drop us into the thriving new neighbourhood of NOMA and a flourishing city gardening project. On our final leg of the walk, we’ll pass through Manchester Cathedral’s Gardens and the poignant memorial to the victims of the Manchester Arena bomb before our final stop – Manchester’s Victoria Station.
